Plato Alpha Design in partnership with The Bahamian Developers Association will host their first annual Nassau Technology Conference, to explore the technological industry in The Bahamas and provide a platform for all individuals of similar interests at Baha Mar, December 10, 2021.
Under this years’ theme “The State of Technology in The Bahamas”, the conference will act as a catalyst to begin the discourse of technology and its future in The Bahamas.
The purpose of the conference is to bring together individuals from various sectors and create a larger community, to facilitate connections, learn of new ideas, and invest in those ideas.
Keith Roye, COO of Plato Alpha Design said, “We are finally able to bring to life something that many Bahamians within the IT sector have been yearning for. I believe that with this conference,
we can provide a dedicated platform to properly engage IT professionals on all levels.”
The event’s itinerary consists of four speakers presenting on the theme for 15 minutes as it
relates to their respective industries.
To engage the audience, a panel discussion will follow. Both IT professionals and the public will
be able to speak with industry experts to further analyze the technological state of the country.
The conference will provide entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, service providers, tech
enthusiasts, and key decision makers the opportunity to network from various sectors within the
industry.
As the speed of technology is increasing in the international arena, The Bahamas cannot afford
to be left behind. For this reason, The Bahamian Developers Association was formed to foster
an environment for technology enthusiasts and business persons alike. Thus, birthing the idea
and organization of the annual Nassau Technology Conference.
This conference will not only create dynamic conversations between technological professionals
but also seeks to develop new ideas and strategies that will transform technology in the
Bahamas from inception to execution.
Individuals will be able to learn and discuss current trends in Telecoms, Digital Identity, 5G,
Digital Currency, and Automation, while also providing a platform to discuss green field
opportunities and challenges this nation faces.
“This will be the biggest and greatest technology conference in The Bahamas,” Roye said.
The conference will take place at 7pm in the Baha Mar Convention Center.
